I'm Here!

It is Monday, and we arrived yesterday night. The drive was absolutely beautiful! It wasn't as long as I thought it would be! We did drive through rain on Saturday night, which I thought was super scary, considering it was night, and we were driving on curvy mountain roads! That was until, the next day, in which we drove through what I would call "a snow blizzard", through the mountains! Luckily, we didn't have to use the chains and arrived safely and in good time! Today, Sarah and I took our first trip "alone" downtown Seattle and made it to Pike Place Market. We attempted to then go shopping, but had no clue where it was. As we were driving around, I realized how different driving was in this city and how lost I truly was. I may be getting a ticket in the mail for all the red lights I drove through!! Apparently they have the cameras, in which they just mail you the ticket. I will keep my fingers crossed!! Tomorrow, we are going to attempt the bus, which is about 1 1/2 blocks from the house. I have unpacked about half of my stuff and am trying to settle in! Megan and Carley have been great!!! Sarah and I were able to go to a play tonight! (Carley dropped us off and picked us up, which was great because I didn't have to figure out how to drive and was able to have drinks!) Seattle is absolutely beautiful! I get the mountains and the ocean!! I know I have alot to learn about how to maneuver around this city, but I think once I get used to that I will really be able to enjoy it, just thank god for buses!! ha ha!

Oh, and one more thing! I really had become attached to my nieces new kitten and was really sad to leave that little bugger! I came here to 2 new cats, Mona and Diego! Yesterday, I said to Megan, "What is that by his ear?" Needless to say, Carley had to take the cat in today (of course on her day off) where they had to sedate the cat, cut and drain fluid on his head! He is now wearing a cone on his head, and is not happy about it!!! I have pictures to come!! We may or may not be able to go to Yakima this weekend for thanksgiving! Damn cats, gotta love them!!! (and I do - I never know I would connect so much to these creatures!) I feel so bad for him!
