Okay so everytime I try to add a post by the pictures, it deletes them! So, below:

First: These are a few pictures of Sarah, Megan and I at Thanksgiving! We were unable to go to Yakima due to DIEGO!!! Diego likes to go out at night and get into fights with other cats, and because of this, he needed to take medicine twice a day, regular cleanings, and also had to go back to the vet on Saturday. Although I think Yakima would have been fun, Megan made a really good Thanksgiving dinner! It was Tofurkey, and I was actually really surprised that I liked it more than "real" turkey. We went bowling after we dropped Sarah off at the airport. (I cried when she left! boooo!) Megan and I woke up at 6:30 and went shopping the next day. This is not something I suggest! It was soooo crowded, and pretty unbearable!

2nd: The Drive! Here are some pictures that we took along the way! We for some reason didn't get to many pictures other than at the bars!! So, not like me!! haha!

3rd: After Megan and I attempted to go shopping the day after Thanksgiving, we went and ventured out for my first REAL christmas tree! Megan said that we used to have a real one, but I must have been to little to remember. So, it was really fun to go and pick one out. I still think we should have gone for the bigger one! It would have been really funny to see how big it would have been in the corner!

In the past week, I have met lots of Megan and Carley's friends ~ all whom are really great! (some whom think they may be able to get me a job even!) Today was my first day, looking and applying online! I hope I get the job at Nordstrom's corporate office ~ keep your fingers crossed! But also, some of their friends work for great companies, and working for Amazon.com would be a great opportunity too! We will see!

Been keeping really busy!! The weather has been great and today was the first day it rained since the day after I got here! I miss everyone though!!!

THANKSGIVING!

I'm Here!

It is Monday, and we arrived yesterday night. The drive was absolutely beautiful! It wasn't as long as I thought it would be! We did drive through rain on Saturday night, which I thought was super scary, considering it was night, and we were driving on curvy mountain roads! That was until, the next day, in which we drove through what I would call "a snow blizzard", through the mountains! Luckily, we didn't have to use the chains and arrived safely and in good time! Today, Sarah and I took our first trip "alone" downtown Seattle and made it to Pike Place Market. We attempted to then go shopping, but had no clue where it was. As we were driving around, I realized how different driving was in this city and how lost I truly was. I may be getting a ticket in the mail for all the red lights I drove through!! Apparently they have the cameras, in which they just mail you the ticket. I will keep my fingers crossed!! Tomorrow, we are going to attempt the bus, which is about 1 1/2 blocks from the house. I have unpacked about half of my stuff and am trying to settle in! Megan and Carley have been great!!! Sarah and I were able to go to a play tonight! (Carley dropped us off and picked us up, which was great because I didn't have to figure out how to drive and was able to have drinks!) Seattle is absolutely beautiful! I get the mountains and the ocean!! I know I have alot to learn about how to maneuver around this city, but I think once I get used to that I will really be able to enjoy it, just thank god for buses!! ha ha!

Oh, and one more thing! I really had become attached to my nieces new kitten and was really sad to leave that little bugger! I came here to 2 new cats, Mona and Diego! Yesterday, I said to Megan, "What is that by his ear?" Needless to say, Carley had to take the cat in today (of course on her day off) where they had to sedate the cat, cut and drain fluid on his head! He is now wearing a cone on his head, and is not happy about it!!! I have pictures to come!! We may or may not be able to go to Yakima this weekend for thanksgiving! Damn cats, gotta love them!!! (and I do - I never know I would connect so much to these creatures!) I feel so bad for him!

Wow - Bittersweet!

Well, the last couple of weeks have been hard!!! I have actually been having a great time, meeting up with friends that "some" I haven't seen in quite some time. It is really amazing to me to realize how many people I have missed and truly enjoy! The reality of the last 4 years and what I have missed and what I have become is hard. I am torn between reconnecting with "friends" and having the time of my life here, and moving 1700 miles away!!! While not working, I have been doing lunch with this person, happy hour with another and then dinner with someone else all to say goodbye! There is still a list of people that I will say that I was unable to make that last "goodbye" too, and will regret not having enough time to meet with them and tell them how much I care and will miss them! I said goodbye to my extended family this past weekend, and that was hard! Tonight is my last night here and I just got home from saying goodbye to a group of my friends. I am sitting here thinking about this "actually" being my last night here! I just walked in my nieces room and watched her as she slept, thinking my god I can't imagine not being a part of her life everyday and every week! Then the thought of not seeing my parents! Wow - I can't even go there! Yes, I am crying now! To my parents, family, friends and old neighbors - I thank you with all my heart for the unconditional support you have given me through this time of life. I love you all and will miss you more than words can say!

With that sappy stuff being said, I know that I need to do this for me! I am going to Seattle with an open heart and open mind, knowing that things may be tough, but the grass is always greener on the other side! I hope, no I know, that in this journey in life, I will grow into a much happier and healthy person. I am ready for the challange and up for the change.

We are leaving tomorrow morning and I will try and update as soon as I can! Thank you all again. I will miss each and everyone of you!!!

Getting Ready - 7 days to go!

I am still trying to figure out this blog stuff, but anyways, I am at home packing and trying to get everything done! My last day of work was on Tuesday! I am getting super excited and can't wait until I get there to start the next chapter of life!
